Vybz Kartel Appeal Case

You could almost see the Tension in the courtroom as the  Vybz Kartel camp and the dancehall superstar awaits the appeal court’s final verdict.

The panel consists of three-judge in the Jamaica Court of Appeal, they are now analysing the facts of the case placed before them by both the defense and prosecution teams. The court listened to both parties statements and debate during the past week and some, and some exciting revelations about misconduct in according to some actions of both prosecution team and also the implementation of a biased Judge.

As much as The Dj Vybz Kartel has a good team of representatives, during our last conversation with the Gaza camp, there seems to be a lot of discomfort and nervousness within the organisation, although the Superstar has faith in his defence team, they are worried that the system due to the consequences that will arise from him winning this case, strongly feel there will be opposed and many efforts will be made to keep him down.

Vybz Kartel, Shawn Storm, Kahira Jones, and Andre St John are all now serving life for the murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams. Cops say the four men beat Williams to death on August 16, 2011. The defense team contends that law enforcement conjured up evidence including text messages and tampered phone to secure a conviction. Kartel’s lawyers also asked the judges not to order a new trial, but to, instead, exonerate the four men of the murder conviction.

The defense attorneys have also expressed their confidence in winning this appeal after presenting a rock solid argument in the Appeal Court this month. Nevertheless, the prosecution pushed back hard while asking the judges to keep the four accused men behind bars.

Vybz Kartel and his co-accused have maintained their innocence and are now patiently awaiting their appeal verdict. There is no specific time given for the arrival of the grand verdict but it is guaranteed to be very soon as fans, family, and friends, as well as the accused and co-accussed eagarly, await their final verdict.
